Scattered
productions eventuated in the year 2000 after a group of
friends realised they wanted to play a part in Melbourne’s
growing hard dance scene, after years of frequenting such clubs
as pod, early bubble and all the big parties of that time. The very
first scattered party was called MONKEY BUSINESS
and was held in a small hall in North Corydon with about a 100 people
and a blown pair of JBL Fold backs later
The party was a success and gave us our first taste of putting on
a party. Our second party came about a few months later, which was
called a Scattered gathering, an amazing 350 people turned up, not
bad for a scout hall in Lilydale….
By this time word had
spread about scattered and in 2001 we where approached by a club
in Dandenong to hold a Saturday night in the upstairs section of
there club this went onto be the infamous CHEMISTRY Nightclub with
the likes of Jason Midro, Scott Alert, Master Kaos, Tristan Mason,
Nexus, Jeremy K, Kat and many more as regulars. The nightclub proved
to be an invaluable learning experience and a lot of our success
I think has stemmed from that experience. After Chemistry we took
a much-needed break but once the bug bit us again Scattered was
back. We decided to start a new series of parties with a warehouse
booked in Wantirna a few hundred flyers out and TRANCE URBAN
was born. The party was amazing and to this day remains my favourite
party! I don’t know if it was the fact that we where full
by 11.30 or that there was que down the road a couple hundred metres
long and that the vibe was just amazing but it sure was a night
to remember…..
After Trance Urban we
started to look around for venues when we realised what was there
right under our noses in the Dorset Gardens Complex (Croydon). The
Dorset Gardens has now turned into the home of Trance Urban with
the series just passing number 9. Scattered has also made there
long awaited move into the city with Scattered at the HIFI, for
our first city party the night was awesome great crowd great vibe
and most importantly great music!
At this stage of our
journey we decided to pursue the demand of the clothing that was
needed to keep our very loyal followers and crew happy. To this
point we had had a few hundred t-shirts and hats designed and printed
over time. From there it was time to give it its own identity, which
is now known as SCATTERED INDUSTRIES CLOTHING,
which continuingly surprises us with the popularity and the speed
of which it is sold.
Scattered also had the
good fortune to be chosen for the Melbourne leg of top Sydney Dj
Jumping Jack’s cd launch The Art Of Trance and with this the
new party series High Fidelity was born in mid
2004.
Now in January 2005 we are playing host to High Fidelity again with
two of Sydney’s finest, Amber Savage and PeeWee Ferris…… |
